The United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change is an international treaty recognizing the existence of man-made climate change and provides a framework for negotiations to prevent dangerous impacts to the climate system in the future.
All nations who have signed up to the UNFCCC attend a yearly conference to discuss matters relating to the convention, this is called a conference of the parties, or COP. (Read more)
